The Global Classroom

The Global Classroom is where Japan becomes the learning environment. Designed for schools, it brings together learners from Grade 9 to 12 and teachers to engage with the country directly through its culture, history, and systems, turning knowledge into real experience.

21st century education is grounded in experience. These trips place learners and educators inside real environments where they can see, engage, and reflect, rather than only learning through content. Travelling through Japan, from Tokyo to Osaka, participants experience how different systems, cultures, and ways of operating function in practice.

These experiences contribute directly to a learner’s development at school, extending learning beyond the classroom. Japan offers an environment where learners can engage with a different way of thinking while still enjoying the experience, making learning both active and memorable for both learners and teachers.

Each journey is led by the founder, Zukile, an educator who speaks Japanese and lived in Japan for seven years. He is able to explain what is being experienced in depth, with understanding, giving participants clearer context throughout the journey.

From culture to sport and education systems, learning happens through what is seen, done, and reflected on. The Global Classroom is structured and intentional, using Japan as a setting to build perspective, understanding, and long-term growth.

“We were deeply impressed by Zuk’s drive and passion during our visit to Japan, as he carried the South African flag with pride and purpose, and the hosts responded positively to his enthusiasm as he made significant inroads in developing an authentic and purposeful exchange programme. I would certainly recommend this experience to fellow educators and learners. It offers a powerful opportunity for cultural exchange and professional reflection.”
